Are friend/girl crushes only unrequited? From the direction of discussion, it sounds like that's part of the description. Are the posters just not telling whether they consummated the crush?I'm not sure about this. My first sense is, that if someone actually gets up the courage to approach the object of a crush, the dynamic shifts. The whole thing is fueled by admiration and fear of rejection (if I've read things correctly), so overcoming the fear means... what? For the most part, I think the object of the crush isn't aware of it, or isn't supposed to be aware of it... and if s/he is, and is drawn in, then is it still a crush? Color me confused, but curious about what y'all might have to say.
Now I'm going to be a mother, right here, and talk about the girlchild's test scores. How cliched. How gauche. How.... sweet? I'm not a mommy-dearest mother, really, or a June Cleaver, or even Rhoda's mother, although that comes painfully close.
