Steve Almond, my hero
Steve Almond (who already has a place on the blogroll to the right) has written a wonderful opinion piece in the most recent issue of Poets & Writers, about books reviews and the reviewing process. It's called "On Reviews:
A First-Timer Reveals How It Feels." Anybody who has ever had a review in a major publication will appreciate it, and anybody who hopes to one day be published should read it.
But the people who should really, really read it are the critics.
