Crickey, I'm long winded.
Things to note on this 1000 post day: I finished the frelling freaking first pass proofreading of Queen of Swords. Today I hand it over to the Fed Ex guy and he lugs it off to New York.
I'm having a postal day. I have six packages to send off: this manuscript, the endpaper maps, and a registered letter. Now, this is an easy going town, but for some reason at our post office it's the customers who always look on the verge of mayhem. They'll see me get in line with my packages and envelopes and they will scowl. They will mutter. They will make untoward guesses about my family tree.
But you know what? I finished with the frelling freaking first pass proofreading. I faced down that monster of a manuscript, and I can face down a few grumpy postal patrons.
Wish me luck.

Congrats on post 1000. And good luck with the post and all the house stuff.

Terrific!
And good luck with the grumps. Perhaps if you handed out breath mints or sugar candy of some sort they'd be in better cheer. No? Well, I swear people go to the post office when they are hungry and cranky and are having a sugar low. So, you never know. Of course, would you really accept a candy from a strange lady with all sorts of packages to mail? Probably not. Ah well. They'll just have to buck up.
Congratulations again!

Good luck! I am facing the demons of the University, to unlock an on-line report I have...grrr...technology isn't all it is cracked up to be. Finished Tied to the Tracks this week and really liked it. Were any major changes made or that will be made before the novel goes to print?

What a fabulous way to celebrate your 1000th birthday! (1000th Post-Day?)

I think there is something about post offices; in my quiet friendly neighborhood the only evil stares and long gray lines are in the flickering lobby of the post office. (It reminds me of Joe vs. the Volcano.) The stares are exponentially increased when my 1 and 4 year old kids are with me.
