Thriller writers have more fun


Sarah Weinman points to this upcoming conference for writers and readers of thrillers, where there will be a mock trial of one of my favorite fictional tough guys, Jack Reacher. Lee Child, who writes the novels, will be standing in for Jack, who is off someplace beating up bad guys.

End of July, beginning of August, in Phoenix? Well, I guess at the very least they know all the attendees will probably attend every panel, if going outdoors is the only alternative...

You remind me of something. The last three trips to Manhattan? High summer. Every time I swear I won't do it again, and then I forget what it's like.
