audiobook drawing: a change in direction
There have been a lot of problems with people signing up for the audiobook drawing, and so I think I have to scrap the current approach and come up with something new.
I apologize for the confusion and difficulties.
I've thought about a more traditional way of doing this: sending in a postcard. Given the fact that this is about five hundred bucks worth of audiobooks, I'm thinking people might be willing to go this route. On the other hand, computer-savvy folks might resist having to put pen to paper and find a stamp and mailbox.
So what do you think? Postcard, or some other approach? I'm open to suggestions.

I'll be fine with sending you something. Can I send you pictures of my kids? Kidding.

Sounds fair. I would definitely take the time to send one out from the beautiful New England Berkshires...think of all the great post cards you could receive. Cover art of another kind if you will.

I do love getting postcards in the mail, Deb. Good point.

Sounds like a good idea to me...I'd be willing to put pen to paper and find stamp to get my hands on those audiobooks.

Postcards sound fine to me.

Or....you could just give them to me and be done with it.

Sara - that's perfectly fine, but I'm worried about the time lag. If I send you a postcard from Australia, will you have drawn the winner by the time it gets to you?

It will take a good long while for 300 postcards to come in, is what I'm guessing. Also, I'll post here when the drawing date is close to let people know. I don't think this will be a problem for you.

I'm not that thrilled about the postcard, but I'll struggle through if that's what you decide to do.
Why not just print out the emails or the comments & draw from a hat filled with the little slips of paper? Would that be easier for you & for us?

I'm in for the post card.

Dear Sara, in that case, I would enjoy picking out a particularly lovely and interesting Australian postcard for you. It seems the least I can do for such a generous offer.

No judging the postcard art like a bookcover, now.

Should I be sending you a postcard to be signed up for the drawing? Have you made a final decision? Happy to do so if necessary. When is the close-date for the contest?
:+) - love your series!
