personality tests

First, Joshua pointed folks to this personality test, which deemed him an evil genius. That's pretty much on target, seems to me, so I thought I'd go take the test myself. Here are my results:
You are a SRDF--Sober Rational Destructive Follower. This makes you a Fountain of Knowledge.

You are cool, analytical, intelligent and completely unfunny. Sometimes you slice through conversation with a cutting observation that causes silence and sidelong glances. You make a strong and lasting impression on everyone you meet, the quality of which depends more on their personality than yours.

You may feel persecuted, as you can become a target for fun. Still, you are focused enough on your work and secure enough in your abilities not to worry overly.

You are productive and invaluable to those you work for. You are loyal, steadfast, and conscientious. Your grooming is impeccable. You are in good shape.

You are kind of a tool, but you get things done. You are probably a week away from snapping.

Addendum, 2004/07/19: this fits me 99%, there is a slight inaccuracy however. We are not necessarily completely unfunny. If we have a sense of humor (I do) it surfaces on the occasion with well-timed, completely dry, very sarcastic, wit. - Chase

Of the 81364 people who have taken this quiz since tracking began (8/17/2004), 7.4 % are this type.

In broad strokes, it feels on target, and it kinda fits in with the fact that the Kersey temperament sorter test puts me in the 1% of the female population which is ENTJ, or (their shorthand) The Field Marshall Personality. One definition: ENTJs "tend to be: friendly, strong willed, and outspoken; honest, logical and demanding of selves and others; driven to demonstrate competence; creative with a global perspective; decisive, organized, and efficient. The most important thing to ENTJs is demonstrating their competence and making important things happen."

Did I ever mention that my students were generally intimidated by me? No matter how I tried to counteract that.

1. Did you know that the Kiersey... is really Myers-Briggs? These 2 ladies decades ago started noticing stuff and formalized it. It's pretty good, if we acknowledge that the test divides everyone into 4 binary groupings. We all know we're really n dimensions, but 2 X 4 is enough to start with. It's quite useful in working with other people, and reminds me continually that other people really DO NOT THINK LIKE ME - hard to believe, since I'm always right!!! That is to say, they may not be jerks so much as their frame of reference is different. On the other hand, sometimes they really are jerks.INTJ's are quite similar to ENTJ's, but they're not nearly as well-liked as ENTJ's since they're so introverted.
2. Buck is a pretty good southern name for a man.
3. New Orleans has good eats. I wish I could remember the name of a restaurant I liked so well. Also, the trolley ride through the Garden District is nice. Also, even though it is a few decades after your needs, Uncle Tom's Cabin has a really good section on what it was like in New Orleans, slavery, etc.

1. Yes, I was aware of the Kiersey=Myers-Briggs connection. Generally, as these kinds of evaluative tests go, I find KMB to work pretty darn well, despite the flaws. And you're right, of course. Nobody thinks like you. Or me. I alternate between wishing other people would think like me, and being glad they don't.
2. Oh, I like that. Thanks.
3. I've been to New Orleans a number of times, and the food is great though much of it doesn't agree with me. And I should re-read Uncle Tom's Cabin, especially since I remember so little about it.

And now I have taken them ALL.

I am a...

SRCL--Sober Rational Constructive Leader. This makes you a Ayn Rand ideal.

Wackiness: 40/100
Rationality: 60/100
Constructiveness: 80/100
Leadership: 60/100

Taggart? Roark? Galt? You are all of these. You were born to lead. You may not be particularly exciting, but you have a strange charisma--born of intellect and personal drive--that people begin to notice when they have been around you a while. You don't like to compromise, but you recognize when you have to.

You care absolutely nothing what other people think, and this somehow attracts people to you. Treat them well, use them wisely, and ascend to your rightful rank.

Of the 88388 people who have taken this quiz since tracking began (8/17/2004), 5.5 % are this type.

And all this time I thought I was just plain wacky. Now I come to see I am hardly wacky at all.

Sara, I have been on your website several times. Love it. How do you find the time to do all this. I mean really I took the day off from work and still have a half-assed ghetto lookin site.

You are one of those woman who always is well put together, aren't you? While I one who is falling apart at the holes in my tye dyed t-shirts.

Your blog makes me miss school. And writing. As a first time feature filmmaker, I wrote my script and had the audacity to make it, but four years later I am stil trying to finish it. One of those cash-poor/goal-high learn-on-the-fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants kinds of projects.

But I wouldn't change... okay one thing I would change. But the rest. Not a chance.

bohemian: put together? oh no. not me. As I get older I am steadily unraveling at the seams. Really.

But I'm glad you like the site and find it useful, and I wish you good luck with your film, which sounds like a courageous undertaking and an important one.

My puppy boys had a look at your site, and approve mightily.
