coasting

filed under

The weather is gorgeous today, sunny and a perfect 78 degrees. The garden needs work, the dogs are looking at me hopefully with visions of the dogpark in their little heads, and the writing frenzy of the last week is slowing down. Although I have to admit that now that one set of characters aren't yelling in my ear, I can hear characters from the other novel in progress talking pretty loud. They feel ignored, and they don't like it.

So I'm going outside to do things, and then maybe I'll write some more today. Tomorrow I'll probably be back to my four or five pages, and that's fine. I will also try to post something about backstory, as I left that topic in mid-stream.
